Prince Wiser's newest release "Def Notes" takes us back to the simpler days of matching dope beats with dope rhymes. He calls upon fellow Bronx affiliate Nico Woods to join him on this lyrical slugfest peppered with insightful gems. "Def Notes" doesn't try to pander and goes for a very authentic and organic vibe ontop of Album Kutz's soulful boom-bap production.
Prince Wiser kicks off to inform us that "I ain't self-proclaiming / I'm the most dangerous you can hang with." while paying homage to a handful of rappers that influenced and inspired him along the way. Woods follows the charge with a signature laidback confident flow and cocky lyrics like, "Never been the hard to find type / never been much more than that nigga they wanna rhyme like." The duo is definitely on their A-game on this joint and delivers on the simple formula of dope rhymes over dope beats.
"Def Notes" is taken from Prince Wiser's new LP I Learned From Little Brother. The project is produced entirely by Album Kutz Productions.
