Rising female duo boiish add energetic dance spin to Wrabel x Kesha’s “since i was young” (Remix)

Miami-based female duo boiish take Kesha and Wrabel’s heartfelt ballad of perseverance “since i was young” straight to the dancefloor with a dazzling new upbeat remix.

Originally written by Wrabel and Kesha (released via Wrabel’s Big Gay Records), “since i was young” is a cathartic ride from childhood into adulthood, with powerful swells of soulful vocals and orchestral pop melodies. boiish keep those compelling vocals but enlist an adrenaline-fueled tempo to ramp up the pace and create an entirely new sexy tech house number. Reverbed vocals, a hefty kick, and snippets of synth inject an infectious dose of dance sound that has swirling around the room in a carefree daze. Anything but your typical lackluster remix, boiish demonstrate a keen sense for intricate production work while never deviating too far from the heart of the original. With a balance between playful dance-pop melodies and hard-hitting tech house beats, boiish are sure to get heavy rotation on future club sets (if clubs ever open up again).

The emerging duos first original track “People Wanna” caught fire across Spotify playlists, with adds to the official "Fresh Finds” and "Friday Cratediggers" playlists (1M+ followers collectively). They have since gained the attention of much of the indie-dance world and it's to no surprise that they were able to sync up with a powerhouse pop name like Wrabel to officially release this remix via his Big Gay Records label. “‘since i was young’ is such a special song to me,” shared Wrabel. “Making this song with Kesha and Stint was almost as fun as this boiish remix! Can’t wait to dance around my living room all day and all night, boiish have such big things ahead.”

boiish have continued building upon their early momentum and spent the last few months of quarantine serving up livestreams for the likes of Desert Hearts (SoundCloud stream), Groove Cruise (YouTube stream), SummerEyes (YouTube stream), and All Day I Stream (IGTV).

Thier forthcoming single “Do Too Much” is due out Sept. 18 via He.She.They, a collective that promotes inclusivity on the dance floor. On Saturday, August 22, boiish will be airing an exclusive set on SiriusXM’s Diplo’s Revolution channel as part of LP Giobbi’s Femme House Livestream takeover.
