It can be risky when artists from different musical worlds collide, but in the case of Chicago electronic music producer Snyder and North Carolina-based rapper and singer-songwriter Northside Rocky, their irrefutable synergy is nothing short of remarkable. Now on his fourth single of the year, Snyder continues to tease the release of his debut LP, with the hype achieving new levels with his latest, "Your Love."
Snyder refers to their collaborative vision in an email statement, noting, "When Rocky and I first connected, we had this insane synergy. I started putting him on to dance music and we completely opened a new door." Rocky seems to have fully leaned in expanding his sound into dancier climbs, garnering a distinct chameleonic aesthetic reminiscent of the likes of Theophilus London and Vic Mensa.
Together they've cooked up a calculated, dark and sultry club-focussed banger, with a subtle hint of contemporary R&B amongst the house stylings. Continuing in the same email statement, he notes that "Your Love" is "just an iconic summer jam... one of my favorite records I have made to date. [It] is the first out of the vault. Play it loud, windows down... summer vibes."
