Walt Disco are here to let you know that "Hey Boy (You're One Of Us)"

Glasgow sextet Walt Disco are cool as fuck. Send tweet. Despite only releasing this tune until now, "Hey Boy (You're One Of Us)" has created a raucous atmosphere at live shows and continues to be the band's anthemic call to arms. Luckily for us, the single is now finally available for us to stream to our heart's content. Praise the queer gods above.

Following the exuberant single "Cut Your Hair", the track discusses the power of men openly expressing gender fluidity. With James Power's glamour-soaked vocals leading the conversation, the single slams into gear with power synths and razor-sharp chants. With choir-like beginnings, the track bolts into the band's familiar sound with a force of a thousand fires. As ever, Walt Disco's playfulness is enticing; it's infectiously influential and boy, you are quite flamboyantly one of us.

"We wrote this song around a hypothetical situation about teaching a man to come to terms with his feminine side and that it wouldn't devalue the parts of him that are male, but would make him feel more free and help his relationships with others," shares the band of the new single. "We obviously had a lot of fun writing it and sometimes the lyrics get a bit kinky, but such is life."

The band's debut EP Young Hard and Handsome is out September 30th via Blood Records.
