Steff Reed releases the acoustic version of “Armageddon”

Steff Reed has released the acoustic version of “Armageddon,” a song which appeared on his debut album The Power of Love Experience. Though the song was released in 2018, he brought it back through a music video in May and now, in its stripped down form.

In the song, the guitar and tambourine lay the foundation for Reed's performance, which feels like listening to him live. While he sets the rhythm, plays the guitar, and hits high notes, he also dictates how the choir should contribute vocally. His contemporary style is influenced by artists like John Lennon, Prince, and Jean-Michel Basquiat. Behind the scenes, Reed has collaborated with artists like Trey Songz, Jhené Aiko, Eric Roberson, Swizz Beatz, Kenny Lattimore and Gordon Chambers.  As a singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist, Steff Reed connects his passion for social justice, education and music through his songs.

In a press release, Reed links the reinvention of the song to the global pandemic and political drama happening in the world today. He says “I want people to be inspired to connect, to love, and to appreciate the beauty of life in each moment. Although life will inevitably end for us all one day, what matters is how we spend the moments we have alive.”
