The LA-based group Beauty School Dropout encapsulate the essence of modern alt-rock with the release of an edgy new single "Die for You" and a video to accompany it.
"Die For You" is an angsty display of renegade alt-rock that only leaves one complaint: it should be longer. The quick drums leave dramatic moments for the listener to fixate on the passionate idea of love and its great lengths. The drums steer the ship of "Die for You," while the breathy intimate vocals complete it. The track is reminiscent of an old, almost Britpop sound, but it feels uniquely modern and exciting.
The accompanying video sees the band where the rest of the world is: at home. But they manage to make their circumstances work, as the visuals are filled with high energy shots of each member playing their instrument, sometimes on top of cabinets, sometimes on top of chairs, and others playing from the comfort of their kitchen. It's a level of creativity that is almost expected with everyone inside, but Beauty School Dropout did not disappoint. Check out the video up above.
