Punk Adams connects with Norwegian producer Louie Static for this solid collaboration, titled "Big World," that focuses on self-discovery and positive affirmations. The track blends a healthy dose of soul, house and lo-fi hip-hop, showcasing Static's prowess behind the boards. Adams is more than comfortable with the backdrop, and brings his energetic and cheerful spirit to complete the mission. Adams takes us deep into his teenage struggles of embracing his identity. He shares his frustrations with a tongue-in-cheek demeanour, but for the most part, implores the listener not to pay attention to the naysayers and to listen to their hearts.
The colorful visuals by director Ezra Gentle truly encapsulate Punk Adams' unique character and viral energy. There are a lot of summer-styled set pieces on this one, peppered with 90s styled vogue dancing. Switching back and forth from flashback scenes to the present, we also get to see the steady growth of Adams as he slowly blossoms.
