Veteran hip-hop act Afu-Ra recently released his 6th studio full-length titled Urban Chemistry and to keep the momentum going he drops the visuals for the album cut, “Molecular” which was shot both in Columbia and the French Alps, and features Rocca (of Tres Coronas) and Jamaican reggae artist/DJ Jah Mason.
Rocca set things off with his time-tested flows and pays homage to his Colombian-French roots, while Afu-Ra comes through on the second verse with his own unique style exuding his alter-ego as the body of the life force. Jah Mason ties it up with an eternal statement of all people being one on the chorus and closes the track. Time really changes a lot of things as core fans can hear the growth in Afu's musical choices and willingness to stray from the boom-bap sound he was known for. "Molecular" also continues Afu-Ra's theme of working with different acts from around the globe and once again it's produced by Digital Cut.
The video follows Afu-Ra's trek around the globe from the 'hoods in Colombia to the Alps in France, both of which are in full display thanks to the work of the team at Castaka Pictures. The locations are also fitting given Rocca’s Colombian-French heritage, and it all serves to celebrate the “big world” detailed on Jah Mason’s hook.
