The talented Australian beat-maker Ta-ku has teamed with Canadian producer matt mcwaters to form a powerful new duo project called Please Wait. The formidable pair just released their debut EP entitled Black & White and along with it they are premiering an exclusive video today at EARMILK for the track “Flight 99” which features Masego. Please Wait deliver an endearingly smooth and dreamy production that provides a fitting soundtrack as Masego pines for a scorned romantic partner.

Black & White was released on Ta-ku’s joint label venture with Jakarta Records called 823, which, along with music, also works with artists in photography. Shot and edited by Robert Winter and Jens Lindermann, the appropriately black and white video stays true to 823’s support of visual media with stylized, eye-catching shots of Masego and various scenes of transportation that keep with the song’s theme. The soulful saxophone solo toward the end of the track provides a perfect opportunity for some artistic B-roll, which delivers a poignant punctuation to the project. With 823’s diverse expertise and superb music talent from Ta-ku, matt mcwaters, and Masego, the future looks bright for Please Wait.

The Black & White EP is available to stream or download here.
