The wait is finally over. Kaytranada fans have been patiently waiting for the release of the Canadian producer's sophomore album, Bubba. His latest album dropped on December 13, 2019, and fans got a treat with the standout single "The Worst In Me". The song features an unexpected collab with singer-songwriter Tinashe. This track is filled with upbeat, head-bobbing production in classic Kaytranda style. The funky, electronic beat perfectly meshes with lyrics dedicated to toxic relationships. Tinashe floats over taps of the hi-hat and bass, bringing up memories that we've all tried to bury, "every time you fall asleep/I feel like it's finally peace of mind". Damn.
Tinashe hasn't lost it and after a long industry battle, she's back to give the girls what they need. Having had little success since her 2016 release of Nightride, Tinashe's latest drop is an effortless blend of sonically pleasing sounds that show her multifaceted talent. The singer recently dropped her LP Songs For You, distributed through her label which was filled with nostalgic mixtape sounds for the fans that have been here since the beginning.
