Doolie explores being treated like trash in her final single of 2019 "Slow Crawl"

When Australian pop artist Doolie isn't lending her beautiful vocals to an assortment of artists like Charlie Threads, Paces, XMPLA and POOLCLVB, the 21-year-old Brisbane native is working hard on her own music, and with today's release of "Slow Crawl", Doolie continues to showcase one of the freshest voices within the Australian music scene and also a young artist that still has a lot to show.

"Slow Crawl" sees Doolie take you on a familiar journey of relationship growing pains and personal experiences, as Doolie touches on being treated like trash to essentially make another person more comfortable with themselves.

Working in collaboration with Sydney-based producer Cam Nacson on the brand new pop anthem, Doolie and Cam wanted to showcase a stripped-down yet bold intro to then shift the song to emphasize the pre-chorus, which is made clear in the opening lyrics. The simplistic beats, the recurring lyrics of "tell me what you're going to do, nothing left to you for you to choose", highlights the intended direction. The slow-burning instrumentals, echoing vocals, and the array of beats culminate in an all-too-familiar mood reminiscent of a time of numbness or an eerie loss of emotion.

"Slow Crawl" follows the releases of Doolie's 2019 slate of singles "2:20", "Attention", "No Game" and a feature on fellow Australian LO’99's "Stay High"
