The weekend is finally here, and with every passing week we get closer to the debut of Holy Ship!wrecked. For four days and nights, the new concept from HARD Events, Cloud 9 Adventures and The Bowery Presents will takeover the all-inclusive and luxurious Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana, promising multiple stage environments, beachfront and poolside parties, and dusk till dawn dancing under Caribbean skies.
But the heart of any festival is the lineup, and Holy Ship!wrecked's lineup features the cross-genre electronic music palate that's always defined the Holy Ship! musical experience. Grammy award winning dance icon Diplo, Fool's Gold curator A-Trak, DIRTYBIRD kingpin Claude VonStroke are all set to play the soundtrack for the tropical resort/festival experience. Bass music too will be on full display, with GUD Vibrations leaders NGHTMRE and Slander joined by experimental tones from acts like Tokimonsta and Mr Carmack.
One of the acts I'm most excited about is LA based duo Phantoms, who's house and tech house vibes are really starting to make waves in 2019. Fortunately, we don't have to wait for Shipwrecked to hear what they've got in store for us, as EARMILK was lucky enough to grab an exclusive mix from the duo!
About the mix, Phantoms had this to say:
For this mix we wanted it to feel less like a club mix and more like something we would play at an after hours party – where there’s less focus on our own music and more focus on music we love. It’s pretty house centric but there’s a couple surprises in there like an amazing Disclosure song that sort of got lost in their discography and songs like "Only Human," "1995," and "Prayer" which are favorites we don’t often get to play out. We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it. <3
