Nashville's Mokita (née John Luke Carter) is a man like any other, harbouring inner demons and muted thoughts. Unlike most, however, he's found a battlefield in which he can find his strength and conquer that darkness. Releasing his latest single (and battle weapon) "Colorblind," he once again provides a shield of armour for all who listen, as they prepare to march into their own battles.

"It took me a long time to have the courage to be open and transparent about my battle with depression and anxiety," he confesses. "Songwriting has become one of the main ways that I’m able to process and even combat the sometimes crippling feelings that stem from it." While the lyrics are stark and heavy, "Colorblind" finds its hope in the meandering guitar melody, the encouraging percussions, and in Carter's captivating vocals. He may sing of a world that is splattered in black and white, but he brings it to a colourful life in this subtle electronic helpline. "It's ok to not be ok…it's ok to ask for help, and I hope this song encourages that."
