EDX drops new single “Neptune” and announces eponymous tour [Premiere]

Grammy-nominated DJ and producer EDX has just released his new single, "Neptune," which you can hear for its premiere here today.

Released via his own PinkStar Records imprint, "Neptune" is yet another deep house doozy from the Swiss electronic legend. His ability to craft beautiful melodies and intertwine them with hypnotic house rhythms is second to none. His production here is downright elegant, as he filters in delicate strings in the second bridge, which culminate in another round of the track's alluring drop. Fans of EDX have been clamoring for this one since he unveiled it at Tomorrowland in July of this year. EDX exclusively described the inspiration behind the track, which was born out of nostalgia.

Neptune is a very special record to me. It’s inspired by the progressive house sound I was making around ten years ago, and evokes emotions of a period in my career that I look back on very fondly. I wanted to pay homage to that retrospective sound, whilst also producing a record that is very current in terms of its production values. It’s been getting amazing reactions ever since I first played it at Tomorrowland and I hope you guys love it as much as I do.

The single arrives ahead of EDX's winter headline tour, which will hit a myriad of cities in the U.S. and Canada. His Neptune Tour will kick off with his annual "No Xcuses" ADE showcase on October 17 in Amsterdam, followed by 16 dates across North America in just two months. Here is the full tour:
