Cesar Saez's 'If You' is gritty psychedelic baroque pop

Mexican psychedelic baroque artist Cesar Saez delivers his highly anticipated new single ‘If You’. Co-produced by Luis Ros and Luis Aguilar from the Mexican band Vaya Futuro, as well as Grammy nominated producer Juan De Dios, the gritty track bleeds with passionate vocals and ascending string arrangements.

Known for his unique fusion of romantic stylistic music with traditional rock’n’roll, Saez is defying all genre norms and creating a sound which sits alone in a whole new category. Now living in Los Angeles, where his new love for contemporary rock collides with his upbringing of Mexican Bolero music, Saez is creating songs with a distinct flavor and vibrancy.

Inspired by the likes of Pedro Infante and Agustin Lara, Saez taught himself guitar at an early age, immersing himself into their traditional and intricate techniques. Reaping influence from a variety of artists such as Radiohead, Scott Walker and Serge Gainsberg, it’s his diverse musical taste that allows the musician to create a sound truly unlike any other.

‘If You’ is the first single to be released from the upcoming full length bilingual album. Reminiscent of something off of a James Bond soundtrack, the song flows with spicy melodies, resonating guitars and embellished string arrangements, narrating the pain and heartache of a love lost.

Cesar Saez has previously performed in The Bixby Knolls and the Wallburds, as well as having shared the stage with Los Amigos Invisibles, Bomba Estéreo and Gaby Moreno to name a few. This extraordinary artist is certainly making waves and we can’t wait to see where he goes next.
