Atlanta singer-songwriter Summer Walker has another anthem for all the ladies who just need some TLC. On “Playing Games”, Walker sits down with her lover to explain her need for a romance that extends beyond the tangible, as she croons, “Did I ever ask you to take me to go shopping in Paris, or go sailing overseas, and just drape me in Gucci, no. All I ever asked was you to pick up the phone when you alone, all I ever asked was you to show me some love, kisses and hugs.”
Gently, but in a manner that makes it clear that she is sick of the confusion, Walker explains what’s been missing, adding a tribute to Destiny’s Child's “Say My Name” in the chorus for good measure. The steamy R&B track was produced by fellow Atlanta musician London on da Track.
The new track also comes with the announcement of Walker’s “First and Last Tour”, which is set to kick start in Fall 2019 in San Antonio and has stops in 35 major cities across North America.
Be on the lookout for Walker’s debut album Over It coming soon.
