St. Louis producer ChaseTheMoney enlists Valee and Z Money for his new single "On the Way."
Chase acted as Valee's main producer and both rose to prominence in the Chicago music scene in late 2017. Z Money was already a well known Chicago rapper, and joined the duo. His work put more ears on to the stylistic oddballs due to his association with 1017 Records.
While Valee was signing his G.O.O.D. Music deal, Chase was putting his stamp all over the industry. He produced for Jeremih, Lil Wop, Lucki GHerbo, Ski Mask The Slump God, and SmokePurp. He recently climbed to number one on the Billboard charts due to his work on J. Cole's Dreamville collaboration project Revenge of the Dreamers III.
Chase's production on "On the Way" has dark, ominous sounds, with the drum pattern ticking like a time bomb. They bring the fire and fast cars out on this video as the hit-making team chills out and politely stunts as if they are letting the music do all the talking. Valee hops on the track with his signature whisper voice and sticky flow, setting the swag on a thousand. Z Money catches the baton and perfectly matches the energy. He finds every pocket for his superb flow and raspy voice. Consequently, the trio piggyback greatly off together, and this instance is just one of many of their collaborations.
