DAVESTATEOFMIND is an incredible R&B/hip-hop talent who has been releasing extremely high-quality music for months. His latest release, "Don't Wanna," is a light tune that shows DAVESTATEOFMIND has gained a masterful control of his versatile musical strengths.
In "Don't Wanna", he doesn't push his voice in an attempt to overpower the track's Chris Hayes-produced instrumental, but instead uses his soothing vocals to tell the tale of a failing relationship and the decision process that comes with it. The jittery acoustic guitar and drum patterns make for a raw but mature sound; the Houston artist mixes rapping and singing like a hybrid of Goldlink and Brent Faiyaz, and is for fans of everything in between.
