The Good People have set up a "Sidewalk Barbecue" for their fans. The new single sees the duo teaming up with A-F-R-O and Termanology who all bring their unique styles to the grill.
"Sidewalk Barbecue" hits the spot with its classic posse cut-styled arrangement, as each emcee comes through with a different flavor. The Saint kicks it off, followed closely by A-F-R-O who delivers multisyllabic rhymes and a distinct growl over the layered boom-bap beat. The last two verses are performed by Termanology and Emskee, respectively. Taken from The Good People's Summer EP project, "Sidewalk Barbecue" offers the listener a taste of what they call grown folk hip-hop. They stray from being gimmicky or obvious, as the sounds here harkens back to a time where meaningful lyricism and smooth beats reigned supreme.
"Sidewalk Barbecue" is the second single off the Summer EP, now available on Below System Recordings.
