The female rapper from Houston recently released her latest project titled FEVER which includes multiple recognizable hits from the artist such as “Sex Talk” and her “Running Up Freestyle." This week Megan released the music video for her song “Realer”, which is the opening track on Fever, and fans are already feeling the heat.
The video kicks off by telling viewers that Houston has a problem partially due to all the haters that Megan has collected so far in her rapping career. However, Megan Thee Stallion and her friends, also known as her “hotties”, have come to save the day. In the video directed by Munachi Osegbu, a red-haired Megan pulls up in a shiny classic car with her hotties and immediately addresses all of the smack talk that has been circulating involving her in the rap game.
From iconic bars such as “I know these b*tches want the recipe for this hot sh*t. I told them b*tches I ain't gon' let one hater stop sh*t” to her and her “hotties” carrying weapons ready to pop off at anyone who stands in their way, the visual for “Realer” clearly shows that Megan Thee Stallion is hungry to succeed and will overcome any and every obstacle.
She has publicly opened up about the difficulties she has faced so far this year, such as the death of her mother in March and the struggles that come with being an upcoming rapper who is also in college. Nevertheless, the 24-year old rapper has also had a very successful year thus far considering her collaborations with other notable names in the rap game such as Da Baby and Juicy J in addition to performing at her first hip hop music festival earlier this month. Dropping the visual to the track “Realer” definitely emphasizes that Megan Thee Stallion is on her way up in the hip hop industry and will do everything in her power to continue to rise.
