Cisco Adler is a man that leaves little to the imagination. His boisterous career has led him through extensive collaborations with hip-hop artist Shwayze, producing TV film soundtracks, and countless tours. At the end of it all, his California folk-tinged roots are what Adler is all about, and he's out to prove it with his forthcoming album, Hippieland, out on June 14th on Bananabeat Records. Shedding the expectations and artistic limitations, Adler looks to emulate creative and personal freedom, a concept that is most prominently marked in latest track, "Sunday Vibe", whose visualizer is premiering here today.
Effortlessly smooth, "Sunday Vibe" feels like a cooling breeze on warm sun-kissed skin. Rightly titled, it delivers a calming composition accentuated by sweet guitar-plucked melodies and easy-going percussions, fit for any day or night. When asked about the track, Adler shares that "[Sunday Vibe] is a summer sing-along about a person who makes you feel like everyday is a Sunday. Something about waking up and wanting to do nothing but chill out by a pool with a cocktail and someone you really dig."
Enlisting the supporting vocals of G.Love, the two harmoniously soothe and lull over the lusciously clean production. The official visualizer is a cheeky (and perhaps NSFW), purple-hazed animation by Andres Soler, featuring two guys just sitting on a beach, getting high, making music, and enjoying life to the fullest. It's a mesmerizing moving art, much like the song itself. Somewhere in the harmonica notes and rolling purple waves, you get lost in the hum and let it envelop you in indie-pop wistfulness. And trust me- you won't want to find your way back.
