Fly By Midnight show off the everyday hustle in playful visuals for "Waiting Tables"[Video]

The insatiable retro pop duo Fly By Midnight has long been gracing us with lusciously infectious pop numbers, invoking feelings of summer and nostalgia all at once. But their talent doesn't stop there. They are also known for delivering creatively captivating visuals on their YouTube channel, which has included official music videos as well as covers of favourite songs. Not ones to disappoint, today they release the playful visuals to their latest single "Waiting Tables", an effort that was almost entirely produced and directed by the proficient duo.

Cleverly shot, the video follows the duo through different residential circumstances, exposing the tricks used for accomplishing each visual (Getting "rained on" by a hose, jumping on a mini trampoline, slamming a face against a sheet of glass). It's an interesting take on a song that sheds light on the everyday struggles of those still trying to break through. "But my friends and family|They all know|I'm waiting tables|Waiting for tables to turn", the duo chants over a bed of sensational synth pop melodies. Despite the strife, "Waiting Tables" is buoyantly cheerful, instilling inspiration and a newfound motivation for the never-ending hustle.

We briefly caught up with Fly By Midnight in 2018, but this year may be their best yet- their last singles "Lovely" and "You Belong" both premiered at #1 on Apple Music's Pop Hot Tracks as well as Spotify's New Music Friday (U.S, U.K, Sweden). They've also contributed their songwriting skills to other artists' work, such as Jake Miller's "Nobody Else" and VHS Collection's "So I Met Someone". And as they prepare for their forthcoming full length album to be released later this year, they continue to amass a growing fanbase that truly believes Fly By Midnight's tables have already turned.
