Straight out of Denham Springs, Louisiana, rising rapper Bullet Jones recently released his debut project titled 'Blue Collar Blues', a 10 track body of work that sees the rapper take the listener through the ups and downs of the life and the experiences he has had in his 20s.
Jones may be green in the music industry but on this debut, he shows a lot of growth and penchant for dwelling on issues that matter as opposed to just making music for the fun of it. Right from the jump, the intro summarizes life as an adult who after graduating, has to get a job, pay taxes, student loans while trying to stay afloat in an unpredictable economic situation. Tracks like bluesy "Better Days" sees him reminiscing on good times despite all the madness around him while the soul-infused "Feet on the ground" breaks down his day to day grind as a nine to fiver and all the drama that comes along with it. All in all, he details how he had to put everything on the back burner working 50+ hours a week to provide for his family trying to make ends meet while at the same time having aspirations of being a factor in the rap game.
