British-Nigerian artist Davina Oriakhi has been putting in work for a while now and sometime last year she linked up with fellow Nigerian(Canada based) singer Preyé for an awesome collaboration titled "Vanity". The record set a tone for the duo as they took us back with their 90s RnB infused style. Fast forward to 2019 the duo are back with the announcement of a joint EP 'Our Venus' and a new single titled “Bang The Drum”
Once again, the duo aims to push the envelope by not going for the obvious on "Bang The Drums". Over stomping drums, anthemic strings and layered harmonies, they channel their inner consciousness as they present themselves in their truest form. On here, they also merge core elements from their Nigerian backgrounds and contemporary sounds. Produced by Nosa Appollo, “Bang The Drum” is a conscious yet reverting tune written by Davina Oriakhi and performed by Preyé & Davina Oriakhi with vocal production by Preyé.
