Medasin has teamed up with rapper Felly on "At Fault," released on ALT:VISION. The single follows up Irene, Medasin’s debut album released last year.
If you’ve been following Medasin for a while, "At Fault" will remind you of his collaboration with Masego The Pink Polo EP. His smooth, jazzy trap productions pair perfectly with Felly's velvety, laid back rhymes. Much like Medasin, Felly is pushing the boundaries of genre with his wide spectrum of styles and sounds. The two have an undeniable chemistry.
There’s a certain lightness to Medasin's music. It's warm, wavy, dreamy, futuristic, and clean. Some call it "new wave," "harmonious trap," or "hip-hop meets jazz meets slowjamz." One thing for sure is its trendsetting, as with Felly's Surf Trap sound. They both favor elements of hard trap and smooth beats, which is a popular sound right now. The challenge is to stand out from the rest, and "At Fault" certainly does.
