The Vancouver production duo Potatohead People are gearing up for the release of a new collection of remixes, instrumentals, and originals with the premiere of the single “Iced Tea” today on EARMILK. After their sophomore album Nick & Astro’s Guide To The Galaxy came out last year, the duo, Nick Wisdom and AstroLogical reached out to their favorite producers around the globe. As a result the compilation will be titled Nick & Astro’s Instrumentals, Remixes, & B-Sides, and is due out April 26 on Bastard Jazz Recordings. “Iced Tea” is one of the new originals and features vocals from fellow Vancouver artists giorgi and Radina Vee.

“Iced Tea” continues Potatohead People’s cosmic themes with spacey synth pads that glide over a thumping beat. Radina Vee and giorgi deliver smooth vocals over it all as they describe being reminded of a former romance from iced tea. Nick & Astro’s Instrumentals, Remixes, & B-Sides features an impressive roster of guests including DJ Spinna, Australian producer TEYMORI, Istanbul-based producer Kerem Akdag, 10.4 ROG, and Brooklyn’s Sam O.B. Potatohead People also held a remix contest and from over 100 entries, they chose to feature the Russian production duo Infinite Blaq for their remix of the song “Quest For Love.”
