The wildly creative and daring experimental rock group Yeasayer has once again decided to let us into their world with the release of their newest single "I'll Kiss You Tonight." In a predictably unconventional move, they unveiled the single with a custom music video animated and directed by Theodore Sefcik, which you can check out below.
With every album release, Yeasayer manages to depart from previous influences and explore their sound in a new and bold space. This time is no different. "I'll Kiss You Tonight" is the first single to be released off their forthcoming album that is scheduled for release in June, and it has already managed to put their previous LP, Amen & Goodbye, far behind it. Taking a more tame and traditional approach, "I'll Kiss You Tonight" exemplifies the band's diversity with instrumentals, opting to highlight striking guitar plucks, playful piano keys, and melodic horns rather than electronic notes. And while the song lyrics may suggest a relationship that is leaning toward hate, we've got nothing but love for this new track.
