Enveloping us into a superfluous warmth, Surf Mesa's newest production is a floating cloud of mellifluous melodies that warms one's heart. Featuring the honeyed vocals of Alexa Danielle, "Taken Away" whisks us into a reverie of lo-fi vibrancy laden with soothing instrumentals and harmonic chords.

The gentle, endearing build up is effortlessly smooth, allowing listeners to dwell in the duo's sonic enclave of intimacy and vulnerability. Tinged with nostalgia, "Taken Away" exudes light-hearted love, caressing and lulling one into a perfect bundle of happy memories. It's a slow but steady track that marries soft, heartfelt lyricism with thought-provoking production, a stunning showcase for the young Seattle producer Surf Mesa, as well as Danielle's impressive and enchanting vocal talents.
