Duckwrth gives us something to get down to with "UNSTATUS QUO"

If your introduction to Duckwrth was his blockbuster trap banger from the Spider-Verse album you'd think the man has nothing but adrenaline running through his veins and needed to calm his heart rate down a bit. And could probably use a throat lozenge after that verse. However, anyone who's been following his career since the days of collaborating with The Kickdrums knows that his sound is as unpredictable as a lightning storm. His latest single, "UNSTATUS QUO" builds on that level of unpredictability by hitting us with a James Brown sample and some downright funky vibes.

Duckwrth uses his voice like a spork on this thing—ringing out notes like an upbeat R&B singer when the chorus hits and delivering bars like a subway train Kit Kat distributor when the verse calls for it. The message of this thing is really simple—ain't no half-stepping to this song, it's time to get down. And the product gives you an inescapable incentive to find your groove. Take your finger guns out from their holster, forget everything your friends said about how bad your dance moves are and just get down.
