Although he still only has a few releases to his name, Waring shows complete confidence on “Forever,” from the intricate, layered production and arranging to his smooth, engaging vocal delivery. While his previous singles were more upbeat and pop-oriented, “Forever” has a more laid back hip-hop feel, with Waring seeming to sing directly to a romantic partner. Perhaps the most unique aspect of the song is the understated string break that features some stunning interweaving string melodies that add to the song’s alluring atmosphere. The song could easily lend itself to a rap verse, but the string section gives it an extra dimension that sets Waring’s production aesthetic apart from others.
