Fresh out of Vancouver comes electro-pop duo The Sunset Kids and their debut single “Fantasy”. Alongside the head-bopping tune is the accompanying video – illustrating just what it means to be “living in a fantasy” when it comes to love.
The duo describes how they formed as being somewhat due to magic. Canadian Josh Palmer and Russian-born Ellaya Zampieri combined their instrumental talent and songwriting prowess and found this said magical chemistry. This superior collaboration is evident when you listen to how effortless their voices sound together on “Fantasy”. The paired video features both members, involved in an intricate fantastical reality after they notice each other from afar. The duo says they were “inspired by the controversial concept of multiple realities” and the possibility of chasing an obsession in another world, that obsession being “unrequited love towards someone."
“Fantasy” is a glimpse into The Sunset Kids’ debut album Volcano, slated for later this spring.
