Maya Law is back, and we're feeling the incredible "Breeze"

With Maya Law's impressive track record of awesome soul-inflected tasty jazz vibes, we can understand exactly why Huw Stephens has made her a BBC Radio 1 hot tip for 2019.

Likewise, new single "Breeze" follows suit wonderfully. Whilst the track is a departure from Maya's signature sound in her previous work. Fear not, there are some seriously lovely highlights in here. Particular favourite moments are the delicate saxophone choruses, which Maya's vocals linger over in perfect harmony. The track builds until an explosion opens up with the drums, and as a result "Breeze" feels significantly more live than Maya's previous work. To be honest, we're totally here for it, and actually secretly hope one day she goes full on Amy Winehouse on us. Could you imagine?

Maya has previously supported acts from Loyle Carner to Akala, and Connie Constance to name but a few. Clearly an artist who is both excellent live, as well as having great songs. Maya's making her way in 2019 in a big way, and we really do recommend that you get to know her sooner rather than later. Check out "Breeze" above.
