San Francisco emcee Cozzee has steadily built his rep over the past couple years, blessing mics with unique song concepts and mind-melting bars. Now, the Bay Area standout is back with a silky-smooth track and video in the form of "Suede and Gold."
"Shinin' with [his] glitter beard," Cozzee shows he can flex in his own right, while sprinkling in sage commentary on the materialism of his hip hop contemporaries.
The "Suede and Gold" video, directed by Kiko and Izzy, shows Cozzee bossin' it up in a dimly lit nightclub with his fly entourage. After a braggadocio first verse, he lays out his plan to reach the top in the song's second half, as, of course, the gold glitter continues to fly.
"Suede and Gold" is now available to stream on all major platforms via Monolog Records. Keep a (Golden)eye on Cozzee as the year wears on—we suspect this young 49er is just getting started.
