Indie pop artist Nep is quickly rising to the top of her genre. Following her 2024 breakout EP, Nep's Storybook, Nep is spreading her voice and sound across all streaming platforms. Heading into 2025, Nep has been hard at work releasing new music, further establishing her unique identity. Her new release comes in the form of a banger single, "All Around Beauty."
Coming off like a mid-2010s hyperpop single, "All Around Beauty" is cheeky and bubbly in its party style. What sets Nep's music apart from the rest is her raw approach to her music. A form of bubblegum with a hint of coming-of-age realism that makes for cinematic sound. For "All Around Beauty," the theme of getting over your ex and living your truth is something Nep knows much about.
Accompanying the track is a killer music video that sees Nep partying with friends. Much like the single, the video revolves around Nep running into her ex. Among the trashed house, scenes of jello shots and chaos, Nep details the scenes of an epic young adult breakup.
Nep spoke about the meaning of the song, "The first time I saw my ex-boyfriend post-breakup was at a house party, and I couldn’t stop crying. I’m realizing I only ever saw him from afar on campus or at house parties. We were part of a music school, so the house parties were huge, with everybody knowing everybody. Everybody 's-hooking-up-with-everybody thing.”
"All Around Beauty" is a fun-loving track for the end of the summer party. The days get shorter and the nostalgia begins to wear off as school is around the corner.
