Midwest R&B vocalist TJ links up with Midwest Producer DJ Paimon for a 5 track EP titled Invite Only. The project blends trap, hip-hop and R&B elements with a focus on catchy melodies and club themed anthems. Helmed by DJ Paimon who is a seasoned DJ and 1/2 of the production duo Rumiez (with DJ Tetris ), the EP is ripe with lush and heavy hitting trap beats that would get the bass rattling on your speakers. TJ, on the other hand, doesn't waste time with subtleties and goes for what he knows from the jump. He is fully conversant with the club scene and brings said culture to the forefront with his melodic vibes and smooth flows to boot. Tracks like "Let it be alright", "Slide" have a more laid-back, carefree vibe while "Don't Need You / Need More" really showcase the chemistry between the duo. The track starts off with a standard trap bounce but later switches into a downtempo/dark RnB in the second half. I can't really stress much as the EP is short and delivers on its promises of giving the listener a good time from start to finish without pushing them off the edge.
