Pulsating and electrifying, Peter Verdell, known as Forever X2, has just released his latest single “Walk The Ocean”. An upbeat ode to summer, the track’s vibrant sound features popping bass, striking synths and pounding percussion. Singing with a hint of grain, his energetic, high-spirited vocal tone excites and entertains listeners with every note. Reminiscent of Beck and DNCE, its daring rhythm and bold lyrics speak to today’s carefree generation.
Verdell (Forever X2) wrote all his songs in his apartment in Downtown Los Angeles, recorded them in a hot Silver Lake Garage, and played all the drums, guitars, keys, and vocals. “I wanted the songs to capture how I felt when I first started playing music. Informal and fresh, sweaty and loud,” he reveals about the process.
Verdell’s previous band Act As If has played at prominent venues throughout LA such as The Bootleg, The Roxy, and The Troubadour as well as having received airplay from KROQ Locals Only.
