Montreal-based singer/songwriter JT Soul returns with his unique take on R&B on his new single "Not Your Average Love Song".
A breakup song which the singer tackles in a offbeat manner, he takes a devil-may-care approach delivering his lines in an off-the-cuff style as he switches between singing and rapping. For the production, he teams up with the trio of Jei Bandit, myDirtyhaircut and Ale.C who garnishes the soundscape with a solid funky guitar rhythm.
The visual directed by Maison Baldman, depicts JT preparing for a “big show” as he argues with his girlfriend. The scene then cuts to JT lying drunkenly on the floor only to realise that he is actually at the karaoke bar she works at. However, he continues singing his grievances towards her until she finally kicks him out.
JT Soul is currently working on a new project slated for a 2019 release.
