Benji Lewis and Lincoln Jesser team up on chilled out new single "Ride"

We love the artist, vocalist, and songwriter Benji Lewis over at EARMILK and this week he returns with a brand-new single called "Ride", and we've got the first stream for your ears. While Benji hails from Australia and it's summertime over there now, as the temperatures continue to drop here in New York, we can pick up on some of his carefree and summery vibes all the way from across the world.

The track is a collaboration between LA-based producer Lincoln Jesser. When speaking on the record Benji shares, “I wrote this song earlier in the year around the time of doing SXSW 2018. Lincoln Jesser came to check out my show at the Peppermint Club in LA, and while chatting after the show we decided to set up a writing session. I get along really well with Lincoln, he’s a chilled, cool guy, and he’s really great at what he does. This song came really easy and quick, we were done writing and recording the vox within 3 hours.”

"Ride" takes off slowly and follows along Benji's story which shares intimate details about taking control of his own life. "‘Ride’ is a warm and inspiring song, not only in its sound but also in its meaning. It’s about being yourself, focusing on the positive things in life. Doing what’s right for you and not getting caught up in other people’s problems," Benji says. The song follows on the heels of 'Together Apart’ EP also out now.
