ALLBLACK and Kenny Beats have both had a great, game-changing year. ALLBLACK released Outcalls, a star-studded 10-track project that solidified his name amongst the Bay Area's finest. Kenny Beats revamped his career and produced some of the best songs from hip-hop's best artists, including Vince Staples, 03 Greedo, Key!, and others.
The buzzing Bay Area rapper and Connecticut-raised producer recently got together for a seven-track EP that gives the listener the best of both worlds. 2 Minute Drills carries its football theme through every minute of every song, but is deeper than it might seem. The sports references act as metaphors for subjects like perseverance and determination. Sonically, Kenny Beats brings out some of the most exciting ALLBLACK verses we've heard.
