Danish singer and producer, Fjer is preparing to release her debut project entitled ‘You Again’, but in the interim, she delivers a new single "Awkward"
The song is a retro-tinged, lo-fi pop/R&B styled single that showcases the singer's versatility. On the record, she is carefree and freewheeling over the light-hearted backdrop about the joys of awkwardness. She sure revels in the attribute in an unapologetic way that is intoxicatingly relatable. The main melody from the song would probably be familiar for Skype users – stemming from a frustrating situation Fjer experienced firsthand.
The visuals handled by Wavey Works goes full retro on us as he takes it back with a myriad of 90s references. Besides that, the video allows viewers to take in an assortment of private moments, ultimately making us all feel okay with being slightly awkward at times. Also in tow is a cameo from Buffy the cat and magnetic colors from the wall of posters and obscure 90s artwork. You can preorder the album here.
