Don’t you just love a good love song? Those ones about falling for someone out of nowhere, or in this case, on the second floor of a hotel. That’s the story Vancouver-based Emily Rowed pens for her newest single “Pinball”, and accompanying music video, which drops today.
“Pinball” has an instantly spell-binding rhythm, made complete by Emily’s angelic vocals. Those vocals sing about imagining a future where her and her love both turn into people like their parents – and that’s the ideal. It's a symbol of being able to handle each other at all times, good and band, in their future. The video follows this story, with both young and old living out these lyrics in a classic looking desert motel. That setting turned out to be the perfect atmosphere for the shoot, according to Emily, "Pinball is not about pinball. It's about a promise to stay in love; to come back to the moment it happened if we ever get lost. It was well over 100 degrees when we shot the video and there was no air conditioning in the motel – I was as sweaty as I was falling in love."
Emily has also released “Hey Love” today, another single alongside “Pinball”, both to be featured on upcoming album APRIL expected 2019.
