Alt-rock London four-piece Cavey, have released their newest single entitled “About to Start"— a passionate soulful ballad showcasing warm vocals, bluesy guitar, and jazzy piano play. Told through their expressive storytelling the underlying message of the track focuses on the unfulfilling side of life as a musician and the tumultuous nature which eventually leads to heartbreak.
The band is known for combining classical sounds and imaginative songwriting creating their own style of modern soulful rock. With influences such as T-Bone Walker and Grizzly Bear, their music features gritty blues and infectious jazz that truly captivates listeners. Lead singer Luke Cave reveals, “The sounds might be vintage, but we aren't trying to recreate anything. The subject matter is real and we're making something new”.
