Maya Hirasedo's "1959" is a soothing nostalgic affair

Melbourne based artist Maya Hirasedo delivers a soothing soul-filled single, "1959,".

Like the title suggests, the song is chock full of nostalgia-inducing elements from the surreal and dreamy soundscape to her angelic vocal performance. Maya takes the listener through time steeped in memories and imagination. She also keeps the feel of the track very intimate in many ways by employing the perfect backdrop and alluring melodies to match. While the R&B elements are prevalent on this song, you can also tell she throws in some nuances of classic hip-hop and jazz influence into the mix.

The single is, however, a collaboration between Hirasedo, VFILES (a social networking platform) and Caroline (a distribution service) and serves as part of the weekly single release featuring only female performers.
