Domiciles deliver an offbeat visual for their single "Only You" [video]

Domiciles are a Scottish indie band who have decided to go against the grain for the greater good.

The group are made up of four musicians. Nick Young, Rory Cowieson, Sean Harkins, Daniel Wilson, and  Jamie Wilson revel in their psychedelic sounds, harkening back to the 70s. "Only You" is a prime example of pushing the envelope across the edge. The track is a musical construct. A rich layering of gripping guitar riffs, and ethereal vocal melodies that sound like nothing we have heard recently. Vocally there is both an airy and compelling feel. A soul-gripping element as it ebbs and flows over the cinematic backdrop. The other element that grips are are the cryptic lyrics that go from "..You have been watching too many movies…"  to "...the kingdom of god is in the midst of you..."

The visual for "Only You" follows similar terrain with its noir aesthetic. The viewer is placed in a moving vehicle (could be a train for all we know) and the video moves along, capturing the entire journey to someplace we will never know. Another interesting bit here is the use of somewhat unrelated text placed conspicuously beneath the video to explain each segment of the song in their own unique manner.

"Only You" is off their latest album Common Language.
