New York City’s buzzy electronic duo The Knocks, are celebrating lots of wins this week; with a recent appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, a sophomore full-length New York Narcotic album via Neon Gold/Big Beat due out at the end of the month, and a recent record, featuring Method Man of the legendary Wu-Tang Clan, the pair have a lot to celebrate.
To certify this news, The Knocks are dropping an extra club-friendly remix of "Goodbyes" by Rebūke. Known for his soundclash style of house, techno and rave records from the early 90s, Rebūke put his own spin on the original. The remix is tech house at it's finest and it's primed for those listeners who love the genre. Rebūke remarks,“I really enjoyed working with The Knocks on this remix – the basis of a great song with some cool elements made it easy to create a real dancefloor moment. I love the contrast of working with breakbeats and vocals, and every time I’ve played the remix people have lost their minds. I get so many requests to ID it – so I’m really happy with the way it turned out and that it’s released today!”
We've got the first listen above.
