Bristol-born, London-based artist Vivienne Chi has positioned herself an eclectic musician pushing boundaries in the electronic and alt-pop space. Today we reveal her new single "Under Your Skin", which she shares, "speaks of the realisation of a lost connection due to circumstance, London lifestyle, over-doing it, wanting to escape it all and take a journey somewhere.”
Drawing influence from the likes of En Vogue, Portishead, Massive Attack, Kate Bush, Prince and D’Angelo, the spectrum is far and wide for Vivienne and like all great musicians she pulls from lifetime experience and gets personal in her writing. "Under Your Skin" is an honest and introspective narrative matched emotionally by the experimental and synth heavy production work. The track comes as a big departure from her less electronic thinking productions and her team shares, "While this may be an instrumental departure from previous releases, the genius is in her ability to retain a sound unmistakably hers no matter the genre."
