From Landon Williams comes a sexy new single "All Day All Night," out today via Lowly Palace and premiering on EARMILK, featuring his own vocals and production assistance from Dan Book, best known for working with multi-platinum artist Selena Gomez.
Opening with suggestive negative audio spaces and slow burning lyrics, wood blocks establish a bedroom rhythm that's maintained for the duration of the track while bass and guitar are woven in throughout to add sonic weight. Landon extends the experience with an available VR video that's viewable using a cellphone, cardboard headset, and video available on alldayallnightvr.com. It turns out to be a nice piece of eye candy that follows a couple from their starting point in a Ferrari F355 into a deeper 80s inspired adventure as the night unfolds. The VR tech by viarbox.com works surprisingly well for such a simple setup allowing the user to stand up and be immersed in a 360degree virtual experience. Keep an eye on the website for details on how to get one of the collectible cardboard headsets!
Growing up on a cattle ranch in Colorado, Landon was raised with organic old school influences like Springsteen and Fleetwood Mac, the latter of which's track "Dreams" influenced the framework of "All Day All Night." From that starting point he grew into modern influences like Justin Timberlake and has continued along to his current sound. In between, he worked as a guitar tech and road manager for country music great Michael Martin Murphey after dropping out of Colorado State University because he realized he wanted to make a career of music after his 1 year stint in higher ed.
