Budding pop singer Sky Keller delivers her follow up single "Weekend" with gusto and a whole lot of emotional drive. Hit play below:
Blending emotion laced songwriting against a heavy, lush soundscape, Sky Keller's previous release "Don't Get It" got her some attention in the field but now she has taken it a step further with the release of "Weekend". The latest record sees her deal with the challenges of dating someone who is not as emotionally invested as much as she was. Keller becomes heartbreakingly exposed on this electro-pop tune and it's a wonderful display of the vulnerability found in her songwriting. We often hear music as medicine for the soul, and Sky has created her own prescription with this powerful new track.
Sky explains, "'Weekend' is about an unattainable love. It's about wanting someone who is unavailable but for some reason, this person (you desire) still keeps you around in some capacity. I really hoped I'd be able to change her mind, but in the end, she wanted nothing more than to have fun."
