The newest trio on our radar is Pho Queue who tickle our fancy with "SOS", a funk-filled, soulful gem.
Pho Queue is made up of singer-songwriter Adriano Prestel , DJ and producer Felix Kirner, and Ferdinand. Their moniker is inspired by their mutual love for Pho-soup which came about from during their weekly visits to Vietnamese restaurants during each studio-session. Joined by Felix's brother Ferdinand, who serves as the groups main guitarist, the trio set their musical course to bridge the gap between old-school funk and new age electro-R&B. Prestel channels the spirit of Maxwell and Prince on this record as he delivers a smooth, soulful performance over the vintage groovy instrumentals. "SOS" is an utterly brilliant followup to their debut single "Sweet".
