The Values have released their new 80's tinged song "Mass Destruction" exclusively on our site today, and it is one synth-y single. The Brooklyn-based electro-pop duo holds a type of quiet intensity that could settle down a noisy club, while still retaining the hushed quality that initially drew listeners in.
"This song is kind of my own personal pep talk – as woman and femme person in the world, I feel like I've been thrown into situations so often in my life that has made me feel like my body doesn't belong to me, and I think there are lots of people out there who feel the same," frontwoman Mason says. "I wanted to write a song about femme bodies and feminine sexuality that made me feel good, made me feel powerful."
"Mass Destruction" has been released in conjunction with their new EP, Civil, out today on all streaming platforms.
